Delano Middle School and High School will again be hosting a Veteran’s Day Program on Thursday, November 11 beginning at 9:30 a.m. in the Tiger Activity Center. The winners of the “Patriot Pen” contest, a writing contest sponsored by the Veterans of Foreign Wars for 7th and 8th grade students, will be announced. We will also recognize the winners of the Walter Grotz Essay Scholarship Contest sponsored by WWII Veteran and former Prisoner of War, Walter Grotz. This year’s speaker will be Major Patricia Osmon who is a member of the U.S. Army Reserve and also a school board member. The public, along with all veterans, are invited to the program.
Bussing will be provided for Veterans from the American Legion at 9:00 a.m.
